2021 OREP Staff Achievement Awards Program launches!
The Vice-President Operations & Real Estate Partnerships (OREP) has established the annual Staff Achievement Awards Program in order to recognize exceptional staff contributions to the success of their particular unit, the Operations & Real Estate Partnerships portfolio and the University. The program provides Operations & Real Estate Partnerships with an opportunity to thank staff for the valuable work performed throughout the year. Depending on our restrictions at the time, the awards will either be presented at the Than-Q BBQs on August 24 and 25, 2021 and/or virtually on those dates. UofT’s Laneway Housing project has been awarded a 2021 Canadian Green Building Award
(Photo: BSN Architects) UofT's Laneway Housing Project has been recognized by a 2021 Canadian Green Building Award! This major achievement is bestowed on only ten projects nationally for all project categories and sizes. A key aspect of this recognition is rooted in the neighbourhood’s visionary planning framework, as well as its high environmental achievement, one of U of T’s first Net-Zero Carbon and Energy project. Winners submissions will be featured in a special awards issue of SABMag following an awards event in early June, so stay tuned!

Congratulations to our caretaking team on this achievement! Cleaning Industry Management Standard - Green Building (CIMS-GB) certification demonstrates that University of Toronto has undergone a comprehensive assessment by an independent, accredited CIMS-GB assessor and has successfully demonstrated a commitment to the delivery of environmentally preferable services that are designed to meet customer needs and expectations. Congratulations to our winners! Three OREP members were honoured at the SVP Award Luncheon on July 10th: Patrick Brennan, Property Manager, was chosen to be recognized for Significant Contribution and Sustained Service of Excellence.
